Northside Baptist Church in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, is seeking an experienced and spiritually grounded Interim Worship Minister to provide steady, week-to-week leadership for our worship ministry during a time of transition. This part-time, temporary role focuses on essential elements of planning and leading Sunday worship, coordinating with volunteer musicians and tech teams and ensuring meaningful, Christ-centered services each week. The Interim Worship Minister will lead rehearsals, select music in collaboration with the pastor, guide Sunday morning worship, and communicate clear service flow to all involved. This position is ideal for someone who is musically gifted, organized, and able to support the congregation through consistent, thoughtful worship leadership while the church searches for a long-term candidate.
Essential Duties for the Interim
- Lead Wednesday night rehearsals (praise team)
- Lead Sunday morning rehearsals (warm-ups, sound checks, service flow)
- Lead Sunday morning worship (vocally and/or instrumentally)
- Select songs weekly in collaboration with the pastor
- Coordinate with volunteers (band, vocal team, tech)
- Communicate weekly service order (music, cues, transitions)
